Synopsis: Walter, a college professor, travels to New York to attend a conference and returns to finds a Syrian man and his Senegalese girlfriend living in his apartment. The couple has nowhere to go and when Walter reluctantly allows the couple to stay with him they return his kindness by teaching him the exuberant rhythms of the African drum and rekindling his passion for life.

2009 Season Coming Soon


The Ouray Movie Club's 2009 season will begin in just under one month! This season we'll be screening our award-winning independent and art films in the spectacular Tundra dining room of the Beaumont Hotel.

Looking for the perfect night out in Ouray? Renowned Chef Peter O'Brien will be making a special dinner available to movie viewers who are interested. Additional information on how to reserve your table will follow soon.

Show times will again be at 6:30 pm on the first and third Fridays of the month from January through May 2009.
